I'm lazy, I'm only "sparking" when the EDM is running....
Do you know something about them?
Are they 2-axis or 4-axis?
My only experience with Charmilles was with a Robofill 310.

You should get some more information on them. Ask them these questions:
What year were they manufactured
How many working hours have they done
Have they been properly maintained
Are they presently being used (wire edm machines suffer if they are not used for a period of time)
Has the present owner purchased them from new
Is he willing to cut a test piece to check accuracy of machine.

We have a Charmille F431. It is very old (1980 I think) but it is working. Not very fast either and works with paper tape only. We use it to make special tools for our other production and sometimes we make parts for our customers. Like all old machines it requires a fair bit of service but I wouldn't want to be without it. I would happily pay $2000 for it if I didn't have one. If it's working of course.
You can see a picture of it if you check out our web site at http://www.mecona.se/en/index.htm
If you purchase those edms be prepared to spend about $2500.00 for a full preventive maintenance by Charmilles so that they will run relatively efficient.
