    Eagle Plasma Table?

    Has anyone seen these?

CNC Plasma Tables | CNC Kits | CNC Ganrty Systems

The price seems so low ($3195 COMPLETE!) Looks like all one would need to add is the computer......wondering on if someone has one and can let me know if its a semi quality piece. Im not going to use it every day and dont mind making some improvments in my shop.....(water table, etc).

    Thanks...

    --John

Hello I am with Eagle Plasma.

Thanks for the interest in our systems.

We are a small start up company located in rural Arkansas, that has recently opened its doors to the public.
We have been researching and developing a low cost easy to use and vastly simplified CNC cutting system for a little over 3 years now.

The system you are inquiring about is the latest version of our systems (version 8), it is built around belt drive technology, using basic stepper motors, and no frills.

We have worked at keeping the price as low as possible from the start. We have done this to help bring the wonders of CNC to a whole new market of home businesses, hobbyists, and other potential customers that simply could not afford the $10,000 plus systems available by others.

The systems you have seen on Ebay and our site, are all cut by our own table (the same system we sell), our oldest table has been running for over a year now, and we have had great success with its function.

We use a standard V groove bearing, and off the shelf parts, to keep costs low.
The other benefit is ease of repair for the unlikely event the system becomes damaged, you will not be locked into us for replacement parts down the road.
It is easy and low cost to “upgrade” the system too most any cut length, as we are using basic angle iron rails for our gantry to ride on.

I personally use the system to cut metal (plasma cutting), and plastics (routing, with a mill bit) all on one table.
I use a Roto Zip with a mill bit for my plastic cutting, to make our electronics boxes.

I don't use THC myself, as I have not had any problems without it, so I haven't seen a need for it yet.

As I come up with new ideas and receive new requests from our potential customers, I will make, test, and implement, new systems.
Our current prototype project, is a 2X2 table, built on the same low cost concept, and will be available soon (we are in the testing stages of the product now).

I hope I have been able to answer some of your questions, and look forward to hearing from you soon, if you feel our product is rite for you, or if you just have a question, don't hesitate to call, we are willing to help.

Our number is on our site. Eagleplasma.com

I bought this machine on 1/17, after 2 months of screwing with it and trying to work the bugs out, I still havnt been able to make ONE usable part on it. I am giving the manufacturer one last chance to make it right, I will update as soon as I know the outcome. At this time I would NOT recomend buying one of these machines.

I went ahead and bought a system yesterday and I plan on getting it assembled this weekend. I will post some pics and some video's as I progress with it.

This is strictly a plasma cutting system, it is not sturdy enough for doing 3d routing but it would handle a pen router like a dremel tool.

I hope our last conversation fixed your problems.
We have sent a pick up order by UPS, for your controller, and we will cross ship you a new one as soon as we receive confirmation of pick up, if you still feel this is the problem.
A few things that may help.
1st remove any printers in the windows printers and faxes center <windows XP>(click on start, then settings, then printers and faxes, remove all printers listed here)
we have seen this work on this problem before.

    You may also try.
Change your printer settings in BIOS to EPP mode.
Please call to have me walk you through this, if you want to give it a go.

We will do what we can to get you up and running, just let us know what is going on.

The biggest problem we have had to date, has been with computers, we are working on steps to fix the many problems.
It is highly recommended for anyone doing CNC, to dedicate a PC to the controller software.
Be sure it is a “clean” system (free of viruses, has no interrupting controls <power management, and screen savers> and if the system is on a network, make sure the network is free of viruses or spyware)

We are working on a network controller. To eliminate the need for a 25 pin port.

We are currently testing 2 off the self, network controllers, and will be deciding which one to put out for our customers soon.
We are also testing a USB controller, however the software is currently not in English, the developer is working on this.

Shane, it was good to meet you and your family the other day, if you have any trouble give me a call.
I look forward to seeing your videos.

    Problem nowhere near resolved.

We have been over all you mentioned in your post, if you remember I sent you my computer and your control box and you tested it and said there were no problems with the computer, and you sent me another control box. Then I get it back and still having the same issue as before. The computer has a fresh install of windows XP and no printers were installed. It is a dedicated computer.

I also tried 2 other computers just to be sure, and the same results.

No problems with belt or pulley slippage on the table.

This leads me to believe that the problem is most likely in the control boxes (you have sent me 2 of them so far).

The problem is no matter what I do I can NOT get the same file to repeat, nor will it cut to the correct size no matter how I tune the software to the stepper motors.
