Have an older oxy/acet. burning table that was refitted with a Lynx 85 cnc controller a few years back. We want to do away with the floppy disc and load programs straight from our pc. Can this be done and, if so, what do we need to accomplish this?

Two options are available: Direct serial link using RS232 communications. this will require software. I suggest using DNC32 software.
Option 2: they now make a RS232 to USB Adapter for that same connection. The only difference is that you load the files onto a memory stick and blug it into the adapter. No additional software needed and you can store your entire list of part files onto a memory stick and have them at the machine.
