    BackLash Compensation

    hey guys
here is my next problem. I replaced my thrust bearings on my x and y so i need to readjust my backlash. I think that i have and idea how to do it but anything that you have learned from experience would be great.

now for the fun part. the attached pdf is from my manual on the parameters for backlash. the jpg are pics of the parameters that are referenced in the notation.
i don't quite understand how to get the pulse = distance. is it 11 divide by the 8000? That equals .001375. Am i on the right track?

    thanks
    bear
