I have a shopmaster eldorado bridgemill with REX RHT34-640 motors and Gecko 201 drives with a camtronics box for power. the table moves ok but doesnt always go the right direction when changing direction using the jog feature without waiting a few seconds. and when using the circle wizard for boring a hole it comes out more egg/s shaped than round. the only thing that seems to be a good setting is around 38 for the acceleration everything else seems to make no improvement or worse.
Made some headway tuning the motors last night. NOW the direction is possessed and none of the 3 ways in the MACH3 Manual seem to fix it. While tuning, the UP ARROW Key should make the motors turn + and the DOWN ARROW Key should move the Motors -.
This is the case only 50% of the time. It is unreliable at best
A sample would be like below:
UP ARROW - Moves the motor +
DOWN ARROW - Moves the Motor -
UP ARROW - Moves the Motor +
DOWN ARROW - CONTINUES TO MOVE THE MOTOR +
They sometimes move in the direction they should, however after 3-4 movements in the correct direction, the motors WILL ALWAYS move in the WRONG direction when the opposite ARROW is pressed.
I have tried swapping a pair of wires on the motor as mach3 suggests and tried switching to the reverse setting using mach3 software have also tried one other thing suggested in mach3 but can't remember the specifics.
any thoughts would be greatly appreciated

You can go into the config menu(of mach3) and change the system hotkeys that will allow you to set up your keys for jog in the right direction
Hope this helps
