    My Anilam 3300mk quit

I have an Anilam 3300mk on a 1998 HH Roberts bed mill. After months of trouble free service I am getting a "Z lag error" when I try to home the mill. If I try to move the bed I get the same error for that axis. The servos turn easily and the bed moves freely. The drive belts are in good shape and I cleaned the servo connections. The controller boots up normally. What should I do next? (Before I call in the service guy.)
    Thanks in advance
    Matt

    Help

    Hi Matt,

You might want to back up your parameters if you haven't done so already. If you contact Jerry he can send you the software and give you instructions on how it's done.

If you computer ever crashes and you don't have them you are in big trouble.

    Software

    Hi Matt,

If you or anyone else has modified any of the parameters and your system crashes then when you run the boot discs it will revert to the original parameters shipped from the factory.

There is a backup program that Jerry can E-mail to you that will allow you to backup your current parameters.

It would be well worth a call to Jerry to have him explain this and other items that may be of use with your system.

I am not an expert but did go through some work on the software on a couple of Seiki XL 3 Axis CNC Mills with Anilam 1100M controls on them.

    John
