    My Boss is a moron!

My boss today decided that he would throw the breaker to my wasino lathe today while it was in the middle of running a program. Now, when I try to zero my machine, it goes passed the zero point and I get an overtravel alarm. Am I screwed? The control is a Fanuc 10T if it matters...

OK, just a little update. I called Wasino and am waiting for a call back from them, hopefully they will have a solution for me. From scrolling through my parameters, it seems as if the only thing that was lost is the parameters from 5200-6000 which are my stroke limit settings. Any ideas on a starting point to try to get this lathe up making parts would be great.

OK, I think I figured it out. My stroke limits (parameter 5220-5225) we all reset to factory. I got them back to normal as far as I can tell. I am waiting for Wasino to send me generic parameters for this control. A question if anyone can answer it. How does a loss of power allow a parameter to be changed? Shouldn't they be set in stone unless PWE is turned off?

I'm suprised it took this long to ask. We was trying to throw the breaker to a different lathe. They are both clearly labled in the box, but he is... a moron.

There is only one thing was than being a moron, and that is working for one.
An open mind is a virtue...so long as all the common sense has not leaked out.

Yeah, I am sitting at around 4 years experience on CNC lathes, I would like to get that to at least 5 preferably 6 before I move on. And for how big of a moron he is, I get paid substantially well based on my experience. He also keeps out of my way on most days.

Back when I "bossed" my job consisted of (2) functions.

    1) Provide the employees under my direction with EVERYTHING they needed to accomplish the assignment.

    and

    2) Get the hell out of the way, making sure everybody knew where to find me if they needed anything.
