    Fanuc 0TB axis over travel

    Hi

I have a pretty big problem with my machine.
Its a Denford built CNC lathe with Fanuc 0TB controller.

While doing some JOG operation, the machine travelled too far into Negative X firection (-X) and probably went beyond the limit. It gave an error as Z axis over travel for a second and later NOT READY started flashing.

I do watever after that, the machine doesnt JOG or MPG. The axes just wont move and NOT READY keeps on flashing.

I think its some kind of overtravel and then axis interlock but I am unable to solve it. Restarting the machine is of no help either.

    Please help !!

    Sushrut

sounds like you are sitting on the the x minus travel limit switch, but it is possible the wiring for the input is faulty...this would explain why the alarm is for z axis.

You need to wind the x axis off the travel limit switch by turning the ballscrew by hand. make sure the switch isn't stuck down.
