My advise is to figure out what works best for you, not what works best for someone else. And don't spend your money until your sure it will do what you need it to do.
I need advice on picking software for a bridgeport mill and a cnc wood router.Iam new to machining and g code so I want a program that generates its own tool path. I have tried the demos for bobcad and mastercam and are leaning towards mastercam right now. Any advice would be appreciated.

Mastercam.
Depends on what you can afford. BobCad/Cam is 3d. MasterCam is expensive. Dolphin is easy to use. I have dolphin and BobCad/Cam. I use dolphin all the time. BobCad is a pain to get to work, but i'm learning. I can't afford Mastercam.
If you can afford it, go mastercam. I hear it's the best.
If you can't, consider Dolphin for 2.5d or BobCad/Cam for 3d.

I use AutoCAD and import the dxf into Dolphin CAM (I can't get on with Dolphin CAD, but that's probably just me being used to AutocAD)- I've never had a problem with DolphinCAM, the manual is very helpful. I have no complaints with DolphinCAM.
