    Crusader-M Duart failed but.....

It works. Out of curiosity I did the diagnosticts on my WORKING Crusader-M. It does everything it is supposed to. It eats uploaded code and makes the moves while turning on and off the spndle and coolant when needed. All tests pass except for the DUART, and now I'm wondering about the guys with balky Crusader-Ms and their DUART test failures. I'm thinking the DUART failure in diagnosticts might not have been the problem with their controls. Oh well, I've been slowly putting together a up to date control and when this one bites the dust I'll just swap it out. Maybe sooner if everything comes together finally.

    Duart Failure

    Hello There

It sounds to me as if the system is trying to do a communication test and is expecting to see a 'loop-back' plug where you currently have your computer plugged in!

If it aint broke don't fixit ....

    Regards

    Richard

I talked to a tech at Anilam about this. They basically said what Richard said. It will fail unless you had a test plug connected.
