    Open Source Cad Cam

Does any one know of any open source developments relating to Cad Cam Software?

I use a 8' x 4' CNC with vacumm table and toolchanger (Techno Isel)

I am looking for software that I can give to cabinet makers so that they can prepare dxf files for me to process in enRoute.

I envisage an order entry system where customers list the cabinets they want, then the software processes the cabinets to provide a layered dxf file for each part which provides information about outlines, holes, grooves, and rebates. It would also be helpfull to have label information.

    Any help would be appreciated.

You're talking about $5-10K software. Here's the closest thing I think you'll find.

We use Pattern Systems Product Planner and Drill mate to do that for our own cabinets. With that package, all you'd need to do is provide your customers with an order sheet to choose the cabinets they want. You should be able to enter a kitchen sized job in 15-20 minutes. All you have to do is choose the cabinet type and enter the sizes. Doing it yourself in house would save you a lot of aggravation, I'd think.
