    cutter radius compensation program?

Does anyone know of any stand-alone algorithms or program(s) that can calculate the cutter path offsets needed for G-code input profiles.

A program that can convert both ways would be ideal.

I have a bunch of part outline g-code programs that I'd like to run on an old machine that does not support cutter comp.

I also have a bunch of old-as-dirt g-code written for machines without cutter comp that I'd like to convert to part outline g-code.

I'm willing to work a little for what I need. I'm thinking that there is probably some public domain controller software around that supports cutter comp and I could rip what I need from there.

The ideal for me would be some program that ran like an old DOS filter program, accepting an input file, performing the conversion and writing an output file.

    Any suggestions?

    John

Can you get me a little closer?

Could somebody direct me a little closer to the source code for the EMC cutter compensation routines... what revision would it be best that I look at?
Are there different versions for lathe style or mill style?

A link to a filename or directory would be much appreciated.
