Hey there

I've got a Millport with the Dynapath 20 control. It's running three SEM servos with Heidenhain encoders.

I've got a few interesting problems.

1. Machine goes through spurts where it will shut down, show a power fail, purge all programs from the memory, and come back up blank. Seems to be vibration related. We've replaced the main processor board twice, and the power supply and battery twice.

2. Y axis randomly 'shifts' or gains/loses .01" to .100" during operation, especially circular interpolations. It seems random and comes and goes in spurts as well.

I'm not exactly jumping at the idea, but it's been such a pain that I'm considering a newer control retrofit. Maybe the brains of a Bridgeport EZ-trak?

Does anyone have any input on these issues, and perhaps what direction to go as far as solving them (even if it's a good retrofit suggestion)?

Thanks in advance

Ralph
