CNC lathe plus Bar Puller help

I bought a Trak 1540VL CNC lathealmost a year ago. As it is almost past warranty I want to modify, hot rod it and need some expertise. The machine has an indexer so i want to purchase a store bought bar puller and postion on the compound much like gang tooling so when the part is done I can grab stock and pull to allow machining of next piece. Here are my questions:

    1. Type or model of bar puller to use. Typical diameters are 1/4"-1" aluminum & brass parts. (I've been lokking at the type that uses coolant pump on/off to open close puller jaws. Anybody used this type with success?

    2. Real problem comes down to the clamping/releasing of stock. I have a Royal pneumatic 5C collet closer with a foot operated control. Anybody know how I can tie this into the control to allow the Trak program send a signal to the closer to open & close.

Thanks in advance for any ideas suggestions
