OMG, I didn't know it CROAKED. Sorry, couldn't resist.

Seriously now, you piqued my interest, what is a "FROG controller". FROG is an acronym I'm guessing, for what? Do you have any links, pictures, or other info?

Is this what your referring to? I found it at www.avatartools.com?

I am very saddened to say that Avatar Tools will no longer be producing the Frog Single Axis CNC controller. Due to work load, family commitments, and health issues, I am not able to keep up with the demands of the product and dedicate enough time to keep expanding the product and enhancing it. I am looking for a buyer to purchase the rights of this product. If you are interested, please contact me at kory@avatar.com.

yup that is what i was referring to. It was a controller that gave pulse output to a stepper motor, or for a large motor could give signal a geko or such. You could also chain them together to cut threads. It was a great thing. I just never got around to getting one. I have seen them and they did what you wanted.

Is this the same Company/Guy that makes the FROG 3-D Laser Scanning System and FROG 3-D software? In this case FROG stands for Foam Replication or Organic Geometry. I'm thinkin' no, but you never know.

No it is not the same guy. Though that studd is very cool. I wish I could see them being made. I think it would be a sight to see lasers making those things.
