    Datum Shift with TNC530

hay all, I am learning to run our new 5 axis Zephyr VTR machine with the heidenhain controller. The book that was included is not very friendly for understanding.

I am trying to do a datum shift for a X0,Y0 coordinate to shift to a X3.123 Y-1.234 coordinate. I try and used the Coordinate transfer button then try and bore a hole, but the shift doesn't take place...

    example...

    0 begin program inch
    1 tool call 50 Z S1000
    2 cycle def 7.0
    3 cycle def 7.1 x3.123
    4 cycle def 7.2 y-1.234
    5 cycle call 208 (boring)
    6 call cycle m3
    7 m30
    8 end program

could anyone help me out? dO I NEED A LABEL CALLL OR SOMETHING??
