    Allen Bradley 8400 Crt question

A friend gave me a 8420 MRS CNC controler. The problem is that it is missing the monitor.
Is there a way to connect a regular crt monitor to it?

What are the crt pinouts for the controller?

I need to find out if it works before putting money into it.
If you have any other documentation on these controlers, it would be helpful

If I wanted to sell it, how much is it worth?
It also has Glentek servo drives.

    Thank you
    Kent Kenison

You can get refurbish ones on the Web, but it will cost you around $2,000.00. I have the same control and I too is trying to somehow connect a monitor to it but did not have success. My monitor broke so it's at the TV repair shop, I hope they can fix it. Good luck to you. On the other hand, I just got my machine a couple of weeks ago. Does your friend or you know how to operate this control. I have the manual but not very clear. If you can help me or know of someone who can, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

We were able to hook a monitor to it, the only problem is that the display is the wrong resulution, so it wraps around.
If you could give me more details on your problem, and mabe a copy of the manual i should be able to find you an answer.

    Good luck
    Kent
