    Machining Ellipses

    Hi Folks

On Chiron FZ08W's with Fanuc 21M and 21iM controllers I am machining
the approximation of ellipses based on a loop of:

    %
    :0560
    G1 X[#101*COS[#110]/2.0+#108] Y[#102*SIN[#110]/2.0+#109]
    #110=#110+#107
    M99
    %

Things are ok in general but I'm not comfortable with all these
discrete steps causing the machine enclosure to vibrate.

Are there any ways of smoothing the toolpath?

    Regards
    Rob

Try using a WHILE loop instead of M99
