Special features in NC software; Where to find?

I just came across the Planet CNC USB controller software and was quite impressed with two of the features available.

    - The ability to create a transformation matrix (based on a set of sampled points on the part) and apply it to the loaded G-code

    - The "WARP" feature looks pretty interesting too; the ability to sample the surface points and use them to "warp" the g-code so that all machining uses the new surface.

Are these features available is other NC software? I ask because I already have a DIY parallel port driven CNC machine, and would like to take advantage of these features and don't want to buy some hardware (driver board) just for some software.

I'm currently using Mach3, but not stuck on it if there's something else that can provide similar functionality.

I discovered the video option in Mach3, which can be used to do essentially the same thing (create a rotation matrix) just requires a bit of manual work, but doable.

The probing of the surface z height (Warp) I still haven't found anywhere... though I guess it's use is quite limited to PCB board machining without a vacuum table to really hold down the work piece.
