    Fagor 800t problem

Hi - I'm new to CNC. We have just aquired an elderly AJAX lathe (Pinacho underneath) with Fagor 800t and AMC drives. The machine came without motors and we have just fitted brand new replacements.

Having aquired control over the motors we have moved on to trying out some simple cycles, but everything we try results in the program starting, moving the X & Z to the safety position approaching the (non-existent for safety) work piece, then ..... nothing!

Spindle keeps turning, no errors reported but program will not continue further. Screen shows "executing" but clearly it is not! Eventually we have to reset and try again. Getting nowhere. Can't see anything in the manual which would give us a clue.

    Anyone have a suggestion?

    Thanks

Note: Unbeknown to me, It seems my business partner has also asked this in the Fagor Automation forum board - it is the same machine we are talking about!
