    Smile Electrical Schematic, please

Hi to everyone. I'm new to CNC building but not to electrical or machining. Can someone tell me where to find a good electrical wiring drawing of the whole CNC setup from controller to stepper motors. I am designing a new router/mill for routing aluminum, wood and plastic to use in my luthiery shop. I need recommendations for a controller and the stepper motor drives. I was thinking of "Gecko" drives but I don,t have any experience with them. I am wanting to use a jog wheel too if possible. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I also was wanting to use something besides a 3 HP router for the main cutter head. Any Suggestions ?

My best friend is a spell checker, LOL.

The Gecko G540 driver is one of the most popular because it works well
and incorporates the breakout board and 4 axis in one compact unit.
The Gecko site can also supply you with all of the schematics you would need. One of the best sites for the G540 and stepper drives is Keling Technologies at Stepper Motor, Stepper Motor Driver,CNC Router, Stepper Motor Power Supply, Stepper Motor Kit, DC Servo Motor, Stepper Motor, Stepper Motor Driver, CNC Router, Stepper Motor Power Supply, Stepper Motor Kit, DC Servo Motor, Keling Technology Inc, USA
I do not work for any of these companies but have purchased from them and have been quite satisfied. I would also recommend CNCRouterParts and Home : Fine Line Automation for the plans, parts and kits.
    Regards, Carl

If you follow the stepper motor wiring diagram, remember the resistor should go at the G540 end of the cable, not the motor end. Eliminates motor overheating.
