Win CNC cofigure file question

Hi all
running WinCNC on a Practical CNC router (Practical is no more)
My machine has 2 config files one for servo motors and one for stepper motors.
This machine is servo drive.
It goes weird every now and then ... am wondering if it somehow reads the wrong config file ... is that possible ? Should I remove the one not needed

also
trying to set up the g28 homing
does anyone have a sample config file to look at ?
I have the manual but they do not show a sample file and their dialog is confusing (to me)
looking at a working config file will be a big help
