Monarch Cortland GE Mark Century 2000 questions

Hello. I'd like to know if someone could help me out on a few questions i have for this machine

    1. What is a machine control station failure?

    2. What does this mean when the machine says "machine interlocks were open"

    3. What is "servo stops active"

    Thank you for your help

The machine control station is the operator panel at the front of the machine. The control needs to see a signal from that when it boots up.There is a dc/dc convertor there which fails through time but it usually affects the monitor too.
"Machine interlocks are open" means interlocks the machine tool builder has installed are open. When this occurs the Run Relay will not be energised.
Interlocks can be door switches, overtravel switches or lack of ready signal from the servos.
    Do you have Hiak drives?
"Servo stop active" means that because the control does not think the machine is safe to run it has disables the servo drives.
You need to find yourself a copy of the Maintenance and Troubleshooting manual, part number is GEK25382.The GE manuals are really good, best I`ve ever used.
The GE2000 control is a very capable control too.
There was a fair discussion of a lot of these faults on another well known internet forum recently. If you PM me your email address I will give you a link to it.I don`t think it`s allowed to post it here.

I think you are maybe getting confused with the typical censorship of 'the other forum'.
