    Anilam servo drive

So far I've replaced the hard drive and a servo drive card (X axis) .Now for my next issue...The drive card was all set up balanced and everything, but when I turned on machine two days later and hit the servo reset my screen said

    calibrating cam-bus I/O network
    dsp2-1 motion control board detected
    port activated for axis : x y z
no dsp motion control board detected
    error: x lag over max!
    servo delay,please wait....
    (nothing happened)

So then I re balanced the servo drive (it was out quite abit )

    and that seemed to work....

Today I powered up,hit servo reset and the x axis is moving sparatically about .200 and the x lag over max error is back!!Any input would be greatly appreciated

Sounds like you have component problems causing drift in the drive?
Can you swap it out with another axis?

Today I went to start up machine to show the problem to a friend of mine. Everything seamed OK. I went and checked the balance and the feed was appx .2 . I reset it to zero and waited a couple of minutes,it seemed to maintain. I estopped and checked balance and the feed was appx .018. I reset again and powered down machine at the cabinet. When I rechecked the balance the feed was appx .05. I'm not sure if this helps. Thanks

I just noticed you mentioned you had changed the X drive!
If the servo's have a DC tach, this could be an issue also?
The balance however should not drift, you need to disconnect the command voltage when adjusting balance, preferably disconnect and jumper out the analogue command at the drive and zero the drift with the balance.
