anilam G blank screen

First indication of trouble, turned on mill and screen only had a green line across it.
Turned it off then on, screen worked fine.
Today, turned on mill, screen blank but can run last program and jog axis by remembering button sequence.
Does anyone know if there is anything to check before sending screen for repair?

Update.
Have found a blown (part melted ) transistor on the monitor card.
Repair or replace monitor?
