Anilam Problem

I have a RB 1 bed mill with a aniliam contol (mk 3300m)on it. I went to start the machine and it says "Operating System Not Found" . There a appx 3/4" X 5" X 6" white box in controller with a ribbon cable coming out of it that is making a sparatic not nice sound . Any ideas will be greatly appriciated

I will try, but Anilam is not my specialty. The wite box with not so nice sounds is probably a hard drive, or possibly a floppy. Biggest problem i've found on all anilams is the white Molex connector on the main board. It is recommended to remove the pins from the connector body and solder them in place on the connector. Thats about all i've got.
