    Makino Interfacing

    Hello All,
I need to interface a encoder so it shows up and displays numbers on a Makino Screen. We are going to use an absolute incoder that's on a rotary table and would like it to display the angle on the screen. I know this is abit much but I'd like to see if anybody has done this before, without using the Makino premade rotarys. We've done a unit with our Mazak that the unit shows the position in a little box on top of the machine, but seeing the Makino's are so advanced I'd be suprised if you couldn't show somekind of extra data on the screen.

It doesn't really say, it says Professional 3 on the front cover but it came with Fanuc programming manuals for the series 18 controller so I would assume it's a Fanuc control.

Pro 3 are all Fanuc based controls with an added top. Al, it should be relatively close to the 18i.
It's just a part..... cutter still goes round and round....
