I have acquired a nice Nikken 4th axis unit equipped with a stepper motor, and would like to drive it from my Heidenhain TNC355 controller than has servo drive. I have a Bosch servo drive card compatible with the TNC355, and if I must I can fit a SEM servo motor to the Nikken, but would rather not. Is there any way to take the analogue 10-0-10 from the TNC355 and convert to step and direction to drive the stepper motor? The reason I don't want to swap the motor is that the Nikken came with a stand alone indexing controller so I can use the combination on my manual Bridgeport as it is.
