Bump? anyone?
Hi all.
I have a Hitachi Seiki VK45 VMC. Since support is so limited on this machine, I try to take as many precautions as I can. I would like to back up my ladder program. I already have all the paremeters backed up but not the ladder it's self.
I have the WinYumo (win yu yu) software and the correct serial cable plus this document:
https://secure.filesanywhere.com/fs/...8661626fb3b26a
shows how to put the ladder onto the mill. I need to get the ladder OFF so I can save it! Plus I have a friend who has lost his ladder and I would like to send him a copy of mine.
Last thing in the world I want to do is hose mine trying to copy it
I think, the PC side of the thing is fairly common. Here is a picture of my screen in the PC mode:
Well the pic does not show so here is the link for it: https://secure.filesanywhere.com/fs/...6b8661657279a8
it looks like this:
** M16-II Ver5.0 **
F1 SEQUENCE F2 MACHINE F3 MONITOR F4 LADDER F5 ALARM F6 END
I can figure out WinYumo, it's the mill I am worried about. If anyone knows the proceedure to get the mill to send the ladder to WinYumo I would sure love to know how. Also let me know what kinds of "stupd" things to watch out for so I don't hammer my "working" mill !!!!!!!
Thank you

I tried it! No luck!
I connected the serial cable to the middle pc board (the one with the write enable switch on it)
I set Win yu yu to 4800 baud, 8 bit, no parity and 2 stop bits. I then pressed "Free RX" it asked for a file name, I typed "my-ladder" pressed "save" Win yu yu said "Receive Data?" I pressed yes.
on the mill, PC screen:
I pressed F1 SEQUENCE -> F5 RS232 -> F4 BAUDRATE (ARROW TO 4800,INPUT KEY) -> F2 WRITE (ARROW TO 128,INPUT) , READ ADDRESS 0000, INPUT, says WRITE START, WRITE ENABLE SWITCH ON!
The mill begins to send the ladder but the "framing error" shows up.
Any one know how to correct this?

Mike
Anyone have a copy of yuyu etc they like to share?

If you get this to work, PLEASE send me details, as you can see from the above posts, I have not been able to back up my ladder, if I can get it off I will make it available to those of you that have lost yours.
Dan
