Have you recently updated your computer that you use for programming? If so perhaps the text editor you are using now is saving the file incorrectly. I have seen this happen before using a text editor.
At where I working we program w/nx6.0 and are running the programs
on a Haas vf-6.
We recently purchased the ethernet connection thru Haas
so I program at my desk "drag and drop" the programs to the haas harddrive folder. Then run the programs at the machine.
We machine molds most of the time on this haas machine.Sometimes the
cycle times of the programs are many hours long.
For the past 7 years I have worked for this company , I have "cut and pasted" programs together so the machine will run thru the weekend.
also I have deleted the beginnings of programs that have allready ran
and want to restart the program from where I stopped the
machine midprogram. I edit the programs then "save" them. Then run
them on the cnc.
I have done this hundreds of times ,day after day, mold after mold.
In the last month I have crashed the machine and have discovered
that the program has become corrupt by adding or deleting nc code
in my edited program.
This has just started happening. I don't believe I have done some bad editing
I believe the programs become corrupt when I save them.
Can anyone give me any suggestions whats going wrong and how to stop
this for happening to me again.
Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Brian

We all live in Tents! Some live in content others live in discontent.
Million things can go wrong, don't know what you did, the only advice is be careful and don't crash. Run quick program analyze before run if you have that NC editor.
The best way to learn is trial error.
