    Thread milling

I am useing a Prototrak SMX 3-axis retrofit on a Willis Mircocut mill and have been thread milling (single point). I can't see how to tell the 'puter to generate the taper for a pipe thread. Don't know if anyone here is able to clue me in or not. I know there is thread mills which are made for pipe threads, but I would like to try this with my single point. Even with a pipe type mill, I am not sure how to generate this move. I am refering to the Z and X-Y moves to - you know what I mean.
    Thanks in advance.

The only way I can see of threadmilling a taper is with a lot of small linear moves - don't think there is a cycle for it...
