Need Help!- centroid controller y axis servo setup

I have a centroid controller (m-15) that I got on a used atrump 3vk knee mill. I finally have everything setup and ready to mill some parts, however the y axis only moves .5 inch for every programmed inch currrent setup is

motor revs per = 10,000
encoder counts per rev = 4000

I am assuming I need to double the motor revs to 20,000, but do I leave the encoder counts the same? It seems weird that someone would go into the controller and mess up these setting, but perhaps that is why I got such a good deal on it. Anyones help-experience-advice appreciated

Evan,

I would contact centroid, they have always been good to me when I needed some help. I am guessing that the BLU(base length unit) in the control is not accurate.
