BOSS DX32 Control [F5] Preview

What is the theory behind setting the "View Size" on the "Preview" screen? In other words, how do you determine the X, Y, Z, Min., Max. coordinates?
Example: A block 5" L X 3" W X 2" H. Many Thanks for your help!
