| Spindle tach Hello everyone Maybe someone here can help me. I need to come up with a easy to build, and interface (mach2/3) Spindle tach. I have converted my X3 to belt drive and a vfd. The digital to analog output board that I built for control of the 0-10 volt reference (vfd ) is not linear. Off about 1000 rpm over the range. I can achive the top speed by adjusting the vfd but I would like to have a true rpm readout in mach. I was thinking of something optical. But I do not have a good place for the sloted wheel. Everything is vary tight spacing. Maybe I could sense off the black belt with white lettering?? Or the fan on top of the motor.. or the splinded spindle shaft. In anycase I thought I would pose the question here. Thanks in advance. |
