hello. i am new to cnczone, and new to cnc machining. i have a cincinnati 7vc vertical mil with acramatic 850mc controller. i bought shopcam, and am learning to make simple parts. unfortunately, i have NOT the operator's manual or programming manual for this machine. my post is close, but i haven't a list of valid G codes or syntax. what is the best way to set up a job. do you use g92 x,y and touch the tool to part zero? does anyone have or know where i could get a copy of these? please make suggestions. kirkkks |

| looking forward to hearing from you. thanks in advance. do you touch all 24 tools to part 0 for z, or how do you handle the z plane? currently i set my tools to the top of the part. there is not a touch pad on this machine. |

| It will depend on how often you are changing tools. If you have a common set of parts that run through the machine using the same tooling I find it best to set up all your tools gage line. Which means touch them all of the bed of the machine bed or fixture and input actual tool length and put your part thickness in a workoffset G54,G55,G56,G57. This way once your tools are set you don't have to waste time touching them off to every part. Stevo |

| I never have more than 4 or 5 tools at a time in any machine.I set the tools off the top of the part which is usually a blanchard ground surface or I use a gauge block.Today was a bad day (I've got 2 machines down)but I will get you the gcodes.Do you need m codes as well? |
