Beaver NC 145

Hi All
I have recently purchased a Beaver CNC 145 fitted with Heidenhain 151 control. The parameters are lost. Anybody got information. Appreciate any response.

I tried to delete the above post and start again but for some reason it won`t let me edit it.
So,new start.
Hood had a NC5 with a 145 control. He has since taken that control off. This machine sounds as though it may have been retrofitted with the 151.Parameters on a Beaver are not a big deal if it does not have a toolchanger and a standard set can be loaded and set up to suit the machine but you have to know what you are doing. The best person to ask would be Mike at Machine Support Services (in England),if the machine is not a retrofit he should have a set of parameters but will charge you for them.I have a V5 and if I can help come back with more info or just ask a question.
Mark.

Hello Gridley51
Many thanks for the quick response. I have moved on since my initial enquiry. I have loaded a set of bridgeport parameters and the machine is up and running. I have had to change several parameters relating to axis directions and counting. X axis currently a problem. I have also downloaded a copy of the Heidehain installation manual which has a detailed list of parameters. I hope today to resolve the x axis. You are correct regarding the control, the machine has been retrofitted with the 151. Best regards from the Highlands.
Bob

Bob,glad to hear you`ve got it going. As you have discovered any turret mill`s parameters are a good starting point when you have nothing else.Just needs a bit of care and thought.
Where in the Highlands are you?I`m in Broxburn,West Lothian but run up to Inverness and Aberdeen quite often.

Bob,used to hit Inverness two three times a month with deliveries but due to the high cost of diesel have started getting Highland Haulage to deliver for me.Will still have to come up every few months to collect my empty stillages and I usually stay a week or so up there for the Turriff and Black Isle shows.
Do you know Jim at Highland Roller Doors in Evanton?
Mark.

HI Mark
Do not know Jim. I assume they are based on the industrial site at Evanton, I will check. Intrigued as to what your interest is in CNC and what you have doing.
Update:
All three axis working although X is hitting software limit or direction is wrong. I am wondering if voltage polarity is the issue. Wife beginning to question my sanity!!!

Bob,my interest is this.

www.ems-fife.co.uk

Re the X axis,is it homing to the end of the table that has two limit switches?Give me a ring and I`ll talk you through setting the software limits. My number is on my website on the above link.
BTW,very few women understand how important these things are to us.

Bob,since our conversation,I have just thought that the parameters for my Beaver V5 should be the same as you need for the NC5 apart from the ones relating to the spindle. My list won`t scan or fax too well but if you email me your list I`ll compare them.
