| Adapting to G codes Hello, I am new here, Great forum you guys have! Currently, I work for Mahr. I run a Fryer Mill with Anilam controls. I just had an interview with a prospective employer today who wants experience with G coding. I haven't had the need to use G-codes since I was in school about 3 years ago. Considiring this, how hard do you say that it will be for me to adapt to this new mill that is run with G-codes. The person who interviewed me could not tell me if the machine is a Fanuc controlled machine or if it has any conversational programming on it. All he knew was "no one in the shop can run it and it uses G-codes. Can you do it?" I'm kind of baffled on what answer to give him. When I trained on the Anilam and the Mazatrol I had no problem with the learning curve. Just looking for some input. Thanks in advance. |
