| Seems like you want to get your image directly converted to G-Code. (G-code is what the machine uses to make the engraving - check with the person who will do the work to get the correct format.) Maybe you can shortcut the process? If you have the logo in jpg or bmp form then you could use some of the 'Image to G-Code' applications out there. There are programs like SCAN2CNC that will start with using a flatbed scanner and bypass the tablet and puck. That would get you from paper to image. Or maybe use a digital camera or copy shop to scan for you? The following may help - sorry it has lost the screen shots but you'll get the idea: http://www.cnczone.com/modules.php?n...ewarticle&id=2 Bets of Luck and - Welcome Aboard! Jim

For simple line drawing types I use BobCad w/BobArt, (because that is what I have). BobArt imports the scanned image and can create embossing and tool paths that are send to the cad side for further processing. If this is a one time thing, make a scan of the logo and post it in the BobCad section. Many of the people there will take the scan and convert to a dxf and/or g-code file. GeneK p.s. there are several other programs to convert images to some kind of cad or g-code. |
