Hello everyone. I am looking for some advice/guidance with a new (old) amchine our company just received. It is our first CNC machine, a Dyna Mechtronics 4800 with a Meldas 520 control. My issue is, what communication software is good to use? We use Solidworks to design, SolidCAM to program and spit g-code. I spoke with a guy at Mitsubishi and he said they recommend ProComm, which I found to be a discontinued software. Any others that work well, and have a relatively low learning curve? |

| I had seen it is passing, but was unsure of which one to choose. They have a few on the site, but the "Predator CNC Editor" is the version you recommend? I wouldn't be doing any actual editing of the code, just basic transmission and checks on the part as the machine is being run. |

| Hi, Vega DATA-View supports USB and RS-232/422 serial transfers, shows the machine animation during file transfers, and supports point and click file mid-starts. Free fully functional demo copy available at www.vegacnc.com |
