| Please help if you can, A co-worker drafted a simple flat ring shaped part with an open center, 3 elongated slots at 120 degrees apart and 3 half circle bolt clearance holes also at 120 degree spacing, So I opened the part in MasterCAM X and now how do I get that software to look at the part features and generate the NC code? How do you define the features as operations? and define the machining processes required. Any help would be greatly appreciated. the target machine is Haas VF2 and the material is .050 copper sheet that is mounted to a fixture block. |

| If it is a solid you need to convert it into surfaces, then convert the surfaces into lines and arcs using "create, curves all edges" unless your programming 3d . |
