| DC Motors on lathe spindle Hi all this is my first post. I have a CNC lathe which as stepper motors on on the Z & X Axis. It has a 110 volt DC motor on the spindle which is currently controlled manualy by a a variable controller. I know I can fit an encoder to the dc motor to convert it to a servo motor. My question is does anyone one know of any hardware that can control a converted 110Volt DC motor and 2 stepper motors that would run on Mach3 I have looked at the gecko G340 but it seems to be limted to 80 volts. Also can anyone recommend an encoder that can work from a rotating disk as there is a suitable disk attached to the lathe spindle. Any help would be appreciated thanks Tom |
