| Hello 1st post, advice on controller and software Hello all, I've been reading through this site for a while, there is so much info here. I have an older Bridgeport mill with a prototrak MX3 3 axis cnc set up. It works fairly well for it's age and what it is intended for. Problem is that I have to program each event, not so bad unless there is alot of events, this is just eating up my time. Anyway, I want to upgrade my software and controller, the motors are fairly new and work well. I was thinking of using my pc, I have one dedicated to my mill, Pentium running XP. I'm willing to spend up to $2,000.00 to upgrade. What controllers and software are preferred and what else if anything will I need to complete the upgrade. Thanks in advance! |
