Unhappy leadwell mcv-550

Hi wonder if anyone is able to help, i have a leadwell MCV-550 machining centre and had a bad power surge a few days ago and now the tool changer will not function properly.

It removes the tool from the spindle indexes to the next tool required but will not insert it into the spindle.

I'am sure it is to do with the diagnostic parameters one of them is incorrect does any one know where i can obtain alist of the parameters to suit this machine.

We have a Leadwell SV500 that has toolchanger problems sometimes. We put it into a manual ATC trouble shooting mode by changing Keep Bits K5.4 and K5.5 from 0 to 1. By doing this you can push the Start button and it will step through the ATC routine. It may be different on yours but there should be an ATC troubleshoot mode that is similar. When you do this check your X bits for the ATC position to see if the sensors are reading properly. On ours they are as follows
X1004.3 Arm motor stop postion
X1004.2 Clamp/ Unclamp Postition
X1004.1 Orginal Position
X1004.4 Arm stop in middle position
To adjust the distance in Z between the spindle and the tool arm we modify the value for parameter No. 1850 until it is perfectly matched.
To change the position in the software for the clamp unclamp postition we modify parameter No. 4077

If worst comes to worst you can take the tool arm off and put it back on and realign it.

CHECK THE PROPER BITS FOR YOUR MACHINE FIRST BEFORE CHANGING ANY OF YOUR PARAMETERS. Our machine is probably different.

I hope this helps and good luck.
Eric

Leadwell SV500

This may sound dumb but have you completely disconnected the item, waited a minimum of 60 seconds then reconnected? Sometimes it is the little simple things that work.
Don't forget to disconnect EVERYTHING that is hooked up to the componet, even a ground wire.
This may not work but couldn't hurt. Good luck.
