Question DesignCad 3DMax and Contour Cam

Has anyone experience using DesignCad 3D Max and Contour Cam

Is this a good combination?
Has anyone used it and would you recommend it?

The price is low $100 for the Cad and $150 for the CAM

Cam link

The cam is supposed to work with versions 15 through 18

Any comments are appreciated

I also found another international site
http://www.contourcam.com/usa/Default.asp
It looks like the same cam program for $99
Is this the same program?
Here is the free trial

Lightbulb Contour Cam by Magic Systems

Here is the response I received asking about Contour Cam by Magic Systems

Hi,

Yes, it's the same program.

We are currently in the process of amending the installation process to install with DesignCAD 3D MAX ver. 18.

Yes, we are now the developer, but we didn't code ContourCAM originally. It worked then with Design-CAD 97, however, we adapted the program to work with DesignCAD 3D MAX ver. 14, 15, 16, 17, and now 18.

Hope this helps.

Best regards,
Per Haestrup

I asked them the questions below

Is this the same program that IMSI is selling as Contour Cam for DesignCad
15 through 18?
Will it work on DesignCad 3D Max 18?

Do you have the same updates as IMSI Contour Cam?
Are you the developer of this edition?
Thanks for any information you can give me.

New ContourCAM install and free postprocessor library

Hi everyone,

Today we have uploaded a new install of ContourCAM, which will work with DesignCAD 3D MAX ver. 18.

Click the free trial button at www.contourcam.com and download the new install. The actual program has not changed, and old users can download this install as well, since the activation key is the same. However, old users should uninstall their old ContourCAM, before installing this one.

We have also introduced a free postprocessor library, which you will find under the download button at www.contourcam.com. Some of these postprocessors have been sent to us by users, and some we have made.
