If condition

Hello guys, I usually program plc's, so when it comes to CNC programming I have issues!! Is there a way of having an "if" condition. I want the lathe to operate like the following,

if the chuck is unclamped and cycle start is excecuted, then go to infeed conveyor. If chuck is clamped and cycle start is excecuted, then go to exit conveyor and release part.

Do you have Macro/parametric programming on the machine?
e.g. http://www.cncci.com/resources/param...rogramming.htm
Also in many controls, various machine status can be read from dedicated internal registers

It always helps to include the name of the machine, the controller it uses, and options you have (such as Macro B capability). You might even find someone with the same equipment who would be willing to post an example for you. I know I would if I had the same machine, and knew the answer.

Pretty hard to give someone a concrete answer when you are guessing. Al_The_Man is one of the good guys on here. Give us some more information, and Al (or someone else) will probably supply an answer.
