Hello I am just about to start and construct a small cnc router. At the moment I use a programme called 2D design (techsoftuk.co.uk) and all I have to do is plug the machine in the printer port, do the design work, go to plot and select the right machine and away it goes..... I can use 2D design and export as a .dxf file. I also work with Coraldraw, artcam (educational) and also have something called minicam (educational). I am a teacher in the UK I have looked at sheetcam to generate the tool paths and was then wondering about either mach2/3 or a program called turbocnc. I would welcome any advice. so I can make up my mind which direction to go in. |
