| Please give your opinons on control software for lathes using steppers. Prefer that cost is under $1000.oo. If card or interface is required please note cost of that item. I currently have a Hnc lathe running with an ahha software and card on a P150 computer. I'm making use of the spindle encoder and 0-10v vfd output while the hardware is very nice to me the software lacks. My biggest complantes are the DRO dosen't read in real time it just updates to the last program position acheived and can't change offsets while machine is running parts as I use a bar puller to cut Delrin parts. Thanks Drew |

| Be prepared for a plethora of responses for Mach or EMC - these seem to be the more popular affordable control programs for the DIY'ers on this site. |
