Well, my name is Justin Grimes, and I am partial owner of a company called Team Platinum Racing. We make high performance parts for R/C vehicles, and do all of our current work with non-automated machines.... I'm on the verge of buying a DM2400 for my company. We are in the business of building high performance parts for R/C vehicles. I know NOTHING about CNC machines, other than the basics.... Words cannot describe how little I know. I just want to know what I need to know before sealing the deal on my purchase. This mill should be able to handle work up to 3/16" 6061 T6 aluminum (Or so I think), and it should be able to do what I need it to do. I need to know... How can I program this unit to make my parts? What software is the best to use? Where can I get it? how did you get that program to work? What are G-Codes? Can I use AutoDesk Inventor files with my CNC machine? HOW CAN I GET MY PARTS FROM THE SCREEN TO THE TABLE????????? Anything you guys can tell me about getting this machine to work would be VERY helpful. Thanks in advance guys!

| i just looked it up on the internet , , thats a solid looking little machine ,slow but solid , good enough for small parts , most good cad/cam software will import autocad , i think there are a number of autocad add-on cam programs for generating gcode toolpaths |

| Getting Parts From Screen to Table. Mate its an american system Bob Cad but it works.Ive used uni graphics, power mill and solid edge.Bob cad being at a tenth of the price and with its add on Pro x its simple and sexy cad cam.It will take a diverse amount of different files.I can take a photo, straight from sd card to cam system and in minutes produce a toolpath from that photo. Bob Cad should take auto desk files. "It Takes Everything Else" Down Under. |
