Ok! I'm new to lathes so go easy on me! When I program a toolchange the turret rapids over to the chuck. Quite scary when all I asked it to do was change tools! Any idea why this would happen? Control is Fanuc OT |

| It depends on how the machine tool builder set it up, generally the turret will go to the home or extreme end of the carriage (Z) and out in the X. What is the present command you are using? It may need a routine call or special M coded call before. This is where the OEM manual is good. Al.

| What is the machine? as Fanuc do not write the tool change sequence so it would be machine specific, someone here may have the same model. Al.
