Fanuc om-d rs232 cable

Can anyone tell me which cable i need for sending programs to and from
my pc. The cable i have only works one way (from fanuc to pc) why is this.
If i need to make my own how do i wire it?

I think what you need it a Null modem, it only cost a few pounds.
